SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Program Description
This program is designed for aspiring social innovators who want to create a positive impact on the world. Social entrepreneurship is a powerful approach that uses business principles to solve society's most pressing challenges. In this program, you will learn to build and manage sustainable social enterprises and non-profit organizations. You'll gain practical, hands-on experience through real-world case studies and community projects. We will teach you how to analyze social problems, develop innovative solutions, and create viable business models that are both profitable and purpose-driven. You'll also learn the critical skills of leadership, teamwork, and ethical decision-making, preparing you to lead change in a complex world.
Mode of Delivery
This module will be delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, group and individual presentations, case studies, and community-based projects. Students will have the opportunity to work with community organizations and participate in community service projects to acquire practical experience in entrepreneurship, leadership, citizenship, and social responsibility.
The module will be delivered in a virtual mode (online sessions). Quizzes, projects, and other evaluation exercises will be used online to assess the performance of students and their level of comprehension of modules delivered during class sessions.
The online quizzes, case studies, group projects, personal reflection assignments, and attendance will form continuous assessments and shall be added to the final practicum for evaluation of students’ performance in the entire course.
Certification
Professional Certificates will be awarded to all successful graduates who complete all requirements of the module
Program Eligibility:
1. Professionals and Working Adults: Individuals currently working in the non-profit, for-profit, or government sectors who want to gain skills to create social impact within their organization (intrapreneurship) or launch their own venture.
2. Aspiring Social Entrepreneurs: Anyone with an idea for a business or organization that aims to solve a social or environmental problem.
3. Non-Profit Leaders: Executive directors, program managers, or staff seeking to diversify funding, implement sustainable business models, or increase their social impact measurement skills.
4. Students: Undergraduate or graduate students who want specialized knowledge outside of their primary degree. 5. Individuals with a Passion for Change: Anyone interested in social justice, community development, and using business principles for good, regardless of their formal educational background.
