MAIDEN EDITION OF THE CENTER FOR ETHICAL LEADERSHIP ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

The Center for Ethical Leadership at Palm University College successfully hosted the Maiden Edition of the Ethical Leadership Essay Writing Competition, an initiative aimed at fostering ethical consciousness among young leaders.

The event brought together six distinguished Senior High Schools: Aburi Girls’ SHS, H’Mount Sinai SHS, Nifa SHS, Prampram SHS, Adonteng SHS, and Methodist Girls’ SHS. Each school was represented by ten (10) students who wrote on the topic: The use of artificial intelligence (AI) by high school students: Something to embrace or ban? The students were accompanied by 11 dedicated teachers. In total, 128 Senior High School students were present at the event, making it a significant milestone for the Center.

The competition commenced with an introduction to the Center for Ethical Leadership, where students were enlightened about its mission to instill integrity-driven leadership in young minds. They were also introduced to the core values of Palm University College; Integrity, Leadership, and Excellence, which serve as the foundation of the institution’s commitment to ethical education.

The Maiden Ethical Leadership Essay Writing Competition marks the beginning of an ongoing effort by the Center for Ethical Leadership to nurture responsible, value-driven leaders. Moving forward, the Center looks forward to expanding this competition and engaging even more students in meaningful conversations on ethics and leadership.
